Herpes simplex virus developement

Over the last 10 years Crusade Laboratories have developed HSV1716, an ICP34.5 deletion mutant of HSV-1 as a oncolytic virus and gene therapy vector.Clinical trials have demonstrated that HSV1716 has an excellent safety profile.

Variants of HSV1716 that express enzymes, membrane transporters, hormones, antisense and siRNA have been produced to improve tumour kill or as gene therapy vectors. Crusade Laboratories now offers the opportunity to academic or commercial organisations to develop their own variants of HSV1716 as enhanced oncolytic viruses or gene therapy vectors.
